Clay animation ‘Shaun the Sheep’ new theatrical animation, trailer released.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the TV series broadcast of the British clay animation “Shaun the Sheep”. The new animated film, Sheep’s Shaun Special: Christmas is Here! (16-29 Dec, 2-week limited release).

　The trailer for Shaun the Sheep Special: Christmas is Coming! is the latest film “Shaun the Sheep: A Christmas Adventure – Theatrical Release Version” and three Christmas selections from the nostalgic series 2: “In Front of the Dungeon”, “A Snowy Day” and “Merry Christmas! from the nostalgic Series 2, and three Christmas selections from Series 3: ‘In Front of the Daloro’, ‘One Snowy Day’ and ‘Merry Christmas!

　The new film, Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas, has been nominated for the 50th International Emmy Awards in the category of Animation for Children.

　”The Shaun the Sheep” series includes Shaun the Sheep series 1 (2008), Shaun the Sheep series 2 (2010), and Shaun the Sheep Special: The Naughty Llama is Here! (16 years) and Sheep of Shaun series 6 (21 years), and has already won four Emmys, making this his fifth nomination (year of the award in brackets). The results will be announced at the 50th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York on 21 November.

　In the trailer, the normally green and beautiful Mossy Bottom Ranch is completely transformed into a Christmas scene with snow and lights. At the rancher’s house, Sean and his friends are preparing for a party with great excitement. Then Timmy gets lost in the Christmas market, chasing Santa. He is picked up by local celebrity Ben and his family as a Christmas present.

Shaun and his friends go on a rampage on the farm and at the Christmas market searching for Timmy. They hide behind snowmen, sled-slide down snow-covered hills, pretend to be human… Bitzer holds hands with a snowman and flies through the air(!). Slapstick search scenes can be seen. Will they all be able to enjoy Christmas together?

　Muvitiket tickets, which have been on sale since 16 September, have sold 121% of the previous film, Shaun the Sheep Special: The Naughty Llama Has Arrived! Fans have high expectations for the first ” Shaun the Sheep ” film in three years.
