The red-haired Shanks, who appears in “ONE PIECE FILM RED” (directed by Goro Taniguchi), the new film animation of Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga “ONE PIECE,” will grace the cover of the August 24 issue of women’s magazine “anan” (Magazine House).
The cover is a newly-drawn illustration of Shanks, who is wearing his beloved sword, Gryphon, and has red hair, giving off an overwhelming aura.
In the same issue, “ONE PIECE FILM RED” is featured on 24 pages.
In addition to a discussion with Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy), Kaori Nazuka (Uta), and Shuichi Ikeda (Shanks), the magazine features interviews with director Taniguchi, Ado (Uta’s singer), and Hiroki Yamada (guest voice actor).
The movie version of the film is also known for the seven songs in the film, including the theme song “Shinjidai” sung by Utah, and in this issue, the band “Mrs. GREEN APPLE,” who provided the music for the film, singer/songwriter Motohiro Hata, Vaundy and other splendid artists talk about the secret story behind the production. Vaundy, and other artists talk about the secret story behind the production of the book.
The appendix includes original stickers of Luffy, Uta, and Shanks.
In the movie version, Uta, the diva who has the world’s hearts racing, appears in public for the first time at a live performance. Uta’s singing voice, which she delivers while concealing her true identity, is described as “otherworldly.”
