The first amusement-specific prizes featuring figures of characters from the “Dragon Ball Super Super Hero” film (scheduled for release on 11 June 2022) will be available at amusement arcades nationwide from early summer 2022.
Dragon Ball is based on the world-famous hit comic series by Akira Toriyama, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1995.
Starting with the TV animation Dragon Ball broadcast in 1986, the series was followed by Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Kai, and Dragon Ball Super, with the latest film Dragon Ball Super Hero to be released on 11 June 2022.
The latest film is written and character-designed by the original author Akira Toriyama, and features the story of the ‘New Red Ribbon Army’, which has taken over the will of the Red Ribbon Army, an evil organization once destroyed by Son Goku.
The Dragon Ball Super Super Hero amusement arcades only prize line-up announced this time includes figures of Son Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and the film’s original characters Gamma-1 and Gamma-2.
The figures have impressive poses with crisp expressions and dignified standing postures as if poised for battle, and are finished with attention to detail, such as the wrinkles in their street clothes and the swaying of the cloaks of the Gamma-1 and Gamma-2 characters.
In addition, to celebrate the appearance of the Dragon Ball Super Hero figure series, a LINE campaign will start on 13 May 2022 to win a prize figure or Muviticket by lottery. For more information, visit the Banpresto Navi campaign page.
“Dragon Ball Super Super Hero” amusement-exclusive prizes will be available at amusement arcades nationwide from early summer.
