{"id":1074,"date":"2024-10-07T16:25:18","date_gmt":"2024-10-07T07:25:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sekaiend.net\/?p=1074"},"modified":"2024-10-07T16:25:19","modified_gmt":"2024-10-07T07:25:19","slug":"a-new-animated-feature-film-adaptation-of-space-battleship-yamato-helmed-by-hideaki-anno-is-in-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sekaiend.net\/?p=1074","title":{"rendered":"A new animated feature film adaptation of Space Battleship Yamato, helmed by Hideaki Anno, is in development."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Studio Khara announced on October 6th that it is planning a new theatrical anime project based on the anime series &#8220;Space Battleship Yamato.&#8221; The company is working diligently to start production in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Khara&#8217;s representative, Hideaki Anno, revealed this information at an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the television broadcast of &#8220;Space Battleship Yamato.&#8221; Khara has acquired the rights to produce a new anime work from Voyager Holdings, which manages the rights to &#8220;Space Battleship Yamato,&#8221; and has obtained permission to use the copyright from Tohokushinsha.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/sekaiend.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/original.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1076\" style=\"width:716px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sekaiend.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/original.jpg 960w, https:\/\/sekaiend.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/original-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sekaiend.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/original-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The work being produced by Khara will be a &#8220;different journey&#8221; from the remake series that began with the 2012 film &#8220;Space Battleship Yamato 2199&#8221; and continues with &#8220;Yamato: Forever REBEL 3199,&#8221; whose second chapter is scheduled for theatrical release on November 22, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regarding the announcement, Khara representative Hideaki Anno stated, &#8220;If I hadn&#8217;t encountered &#8216;Space Battleship Yamato&#8217; 50 years ago, I wouldn&#8217;t be who I am today.
